FRPO’s DH Palencia building FAD Architecture Award 2024

Recently, FRPO’s DH Palencia building has won ex-aequo the FAD Architecture Award 2024. The mecanismo engineering team has participated as structural engineering consultant, carrying out the development of the execution project as well as the technical assistance on site.

221 DH Palencia / Palencia (ES) 2018 – 2023 ::: The Palencia District Heating Biomass Thermal Power Plant is the first of many state-of-the-art energy facilities that DH Ecoenergias is building in many medium-sized cities across Spain. The plant is part of a series of industrial architecture facilities that will house power plants for district heating networks in different cities in Spain … as a family of transparent, lightweight constructions that will act as icons of the energy transition of our built environment.
