Red Cross Headquarters building in Colmenar by Israel Alba Ramis

We share with you some images of the Red Cross Headquarters building in Colmenar Viejo, designed by Israel Alba Ramis, in which Mecanismo Ingeniería has collaborated as a structural engineering consultant in the development of the project and technical assistance on site.
The structure of the building is made of white concrete walls and slabs, using a polyurethane mould on the exterior face in the form of grooves or vertical ribs, which allows the integration of the metalwork that protects the openings by means of aluminium profiles of the same section and rhythm, in the form of lattices. The volume behaves like a continuous structural tube, supported on two single pillars, generating wide cantilevers.
