🔨 We’re making progress on the construction of the new Abegondo Health Center!

The construction of the Abegondo Health Center (A Coruña), designed by the architects Ábalo-Alonso, has reached its final phase regarding the building’s structure. At Mecanismo Ingeniería, we have participated as Structural Consultants throughout the entire process.

It is a hybrid structure composed of a series of steel columns and a timber structure, formed by glued laminated timber beams and CLT (cross-laminated timber) panels, using Galician pine wood, an ecological and resistant material that perfectly aligns with the project’s sustainability values. The visit of the Xunta de Galicia’s councilors for Infrastructure, M. Allegue, and Health, Antonio Gómez Caamaño, along with the territorial delegate of the Xunta in A Coruña, Belén do Campo, last week, allowed them to see firsthand the progress and the great impact this work will have on the community.

This center will not only represent a qualitative leap in health service but also an example of how innovation and sustainability can transform our environment. 🌱
