His main research area is focused on the boundaries of the relation between architecture and structural engineering.
Director of Mecanismo Engineering (www.mecanismo.es) since 2003. Since then he has developed more than 700 projects in the field of building structures, some of which have received awards, such as the AR+D Award for emerging architecture 2012, FAD Awards 2012 (first prize), XII Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism 2013 (finalist), Arquia-Proxima 2012 (selected), COAM 2012, COAM 2013, etc.
Said work has been published in numerous prestigious publications in the field of Architecture such as: Arquitectura Viva, A&V monografías de arquitectura, Pasajes de arquitectura y crítica, Zeppelin, International magazine architecture & design, Plataforma arquitectura, Vía construcción, Infodomus, etc.
He has an extensive international experience, having developed projects in: Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Kenya, Zambia, Namibia, Uganda, D.R. Congo, French Guiana, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Chile, Sweden, England, Ireland, France, Belgium, etc.
Collegiate member no. 17.941 of the Civil Engineers Association and member of several scientific associations such as ACHE and IABSE.
Member of the working group GT5/8: Building forgings, within the ACHE Commission 5.
