Banco Santander in Santiago de Compostela, by COTECNO
At Mecanismo Ingeniería, we had the pleasure of collaborating as structural consultants with the COTECNO team on the renovation of the Santiago de Compostela building for Banco Santander.
The building, which previously housed Banco Pastor, is a notable example of 20th-century Galician architecture. Designed by architect Andrés Fernández-Albalat and inaugurated in 1979, it stands as a symbol of modernity in the historic city center. Its rationalist style façade offers a contemporary reinterpretation of Santiago’s traditional galleries.
Our work involved providing structural solutions to address the interventions required in this iconic renovation. We are grateful to COTECNO for placing their trust in our team.
