II International Conference on Heritage, Public Works and Civil Engineering and VI International Hispano-American Congress and XIV National Congress on Construction History
These past weeks, Mecanismo Ingeniería actively participated in two key events in the fields of heritage, civil engineering, and construction history, held in Valencia and Cartagena.
At the II International Conference on Heritage, Public Works and Civil Engineering (Valencia), our colleague Jacinto Ruiz Carmona, Technical Director at Mecanismo Ingeniería, presented the paper:
“The Casa del Labrador at the Royal Site of Aranjuez: a comprehensive restoration”
A project led by Patrimonio Nacional in which we developed the structural intervention for foundation underpinning using a system of micropiles, connected to the existing load-bearing walls through foundation beams, ensuring structural compatibility and proper load transfer within a heritage context.
In addition, at the VI International Hispano-American Congress and XIV National Congress on Construction History (Cartagena), our colleague Antonio Bueno Bleda, Team Leader at Mecanismo Ingeniería, presented:
“Singular buildings in early 20th century Spain. Contributions of Valentín Vallhonrat y Gómez”
This research focuses on the figure of this pioneering engineer and builder in the introduction of reinforced concrete in Spain, highlighting his contribution to the development of singular structures, the optimization of construction processes, and the execution of iconic high-rise buildings.
