New Cultural Space of the Ortega-Marañón Foundation in Madrid by Junquera Arquitectos

King Felipe VI has recently inaugurated the new Cultural Space of the Ortega-Marañón Foundation in Madrid. Junquera Arquitectos studio was commissioned to carry out the first phase of the restoration, rehabilitation and extension of the headquarters of the Ortega y Gasset – Gregorio Marañón Foundation (FOM), created in 2010 and focused on the promotion of culture, training, debate and research in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities and Health Sciences. The project was developed in the FOM’s Arniches Palace and Building, a building representative of Madrid’s rationalism that had not undergone any major maintenance work since the 1980s.
