“a large roof structure made of laminated fir wood”

The project is centered around a large roof structure adapted to the complex geometry of the site. Supported at three points, it consists of an interlaced framework of curved wooden beams, each one meter deep, forming a surface that reaches different heights at each point, resulting in a completely open space beneath it.
All the architectural elements that complete the project strictly follow the curvilinear geometry established by the roof—a meticulous fabrication process ensuring that everything fit together perfectly during on-site installation, as if assembling a puzzle.

The complex process of prefabrication, organization, and assembly results in a space defined by its distinctive geometry, which is emphasized by all the architectural elements that compose it. It is a fully open space in which interior and exterior merge seamlessly thanks to the permeability of its enclosing façade.
The roof, made of laminated fir wood, is composed of a structure of one-meter-deep beams forming a grid in which each point is located at a different height. The arrangement of the beams defines a fan-like silhouette, composed of longitudinal main beams and transverse radial ones that complete the framework. The variation in roof levels gives each beam a double curvature along both the vertical and horizontal axes.

The roof is supported at three points—one at each end—creating a surface completely free of intermediate supports. At the rear, the support is provided by a cylindrical volume housing the building’s technical installations. At the front, it rests on two wooden columns; all structural elements are made of wood.
The roof system is completed with an upper surface made of floating timber deck tiles, and below, an interior false ceiling composed of curved oak slats. All components respond precisely to the intricate geometry defined by the wooden beam grid.
The vertical enclosure surrounding the volume consists, on its sides, of curved annealed glass panels 3 centimeters thick, and on the front, of a folding stainless-steel façade that allows for seamless integration and connection between interior and exterior spaces.
