“Structural design of the deck, frames, piers, and foundations on the Ciénaga bypass”
It has been completed the 508-meter bridge called Ferrocarril, which it is supported by 192 piles of 1.2 m of diameter that will cross the railroad in the Sevillano sector on the Cienaga bypass (Santa Marta , Colombia). The bridge has 6 spans of 30m, 8 spans of 36m and 1 span of 40m. It is located in an area of high seismicity and on a poor quality ground. Mecanismo Engineering carried out the structural design of the deck, frames and foundations for AYESA. The work has been build by the Puerto Rican construction company MECO.
